Overview
The Wixárika people are one of the Indigenous cultures originating in western Mexico, recognized for their profound spiritual relationship with nature, the land, and their ancestors. Their knowledge, ceremonies, symbols, and traditions have been passed down from generation to generation, keeping an important biocultural heritage alive. You will take part in a Wixárika Blessing Walk, guided by Santos Hernández (White Deer), a local spiritual guide, where knowledge and tradition are shared in an authentic and respectful way. During the journey, you will visit four sacred sites, each with its own meaning within the Wixárika worldview. There, you will not only learn about their relationship with the land and the spirit, but also participate in practices that honor the connection between nature, community, spirituality, and life.

Itinerary
Your adventure begins at Chamán Restaurant, where you’ll meet your guides, Santos and Jair, who will welcome you and provide a brief introduction to the experience. From there, you'll walk through jungle, beaches, and gentle hills toward a sacred area home to four Sacred Places of great importance to the Wixárika community of Sayulita. Along the way, you'll learn about their history, culture, and worldview, as well as their deep connection with nature and the land. This experience is the result of a collaboration between Jair and Santos, created to contribute to the preservation and transmission of Wixárika culture in Sayulita and to foster respectful cultural exchange. We invite you to approach this experience with openness and sensitivity, recognizing that the Wixárika worldview has its own beliefs and ways of understanding the world.
