   One of the most exotic beaches in Crete, Preveli Beach is famous for its unique palm forest and river lagoon. Spend 1.5 hours relaxing, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, and walking along the river under the shade of the lush palm trees.

   Kalypso Beach near Plakias is not your typical sandy stretch—it’s a dramatic, narrow cove carved between steep rock cliffs, where the Libyan Sea turns deep turquoise and crystal clear. The setting feels almost secret, protected by nature itself, with calm waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There are no long promenades or noisy beach bars here.
