We end the day with a massage by the beach, but what I truly hope they take home is the feeling of having experienced a genuine and warm part of Mexico. After meeting your local guide, visit a traditional market to discover regional ingredients and choose fresh fruit to taste. Travel through small rural communities on the way to the peaceful hot springs of Nuevo Ixtlán, where you can unwind in warm thermal pools beneath the shade of the trees. While you relax, your host will personally prepare and serve a Mexican BBQ with steak, chicken, grilled vegetables, tortillas, guacamole and salsa. On the return journey, stop in Bucerías for a professional one-hour massage by the beach—the perfect ending to a restorative day away from the crowds.
