It comprises La Jolla Bay, Children’s Pool and coastal cliff trails. Golden sandstone cliffs, gradient crystal‑blue seawater and natural sea caves spread across the shore. Wild sea lions and seals frequently rest at the Children’s Pool Reserve, making it a famous spot for observing marine wildlife at close range. When the tide recedes, tide pools form among reefs, housing starfish, sea anemones and other small marine creatures.    Located in the port of San Diego, CV-41 is a legendary aircraft carrier that has been in service by the US military for 47 years. It was named in honor of the Battle of Midway and was permanently renamed as a maritime museum in 2004. With a total length of 306 meters, it participated in the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. The museum has an open flight deck, hangar, bridge, and officer living area, displaying more than 20 repaired carrier based fighter jets, including F-14 and Corsair fighter jets; Paired with a naval battle immersive cinema, veteran volunteer lectures, and flight simulation experiences, it fully restores the life of aircraft carrier sea combat and is the most popular naval military museum in the United States.

   The Unconditional Surrender

   Located in Tuna Harbor Park next to the aircraft carrier, this 8-meter-high bronze giant statue is based on the classic snapshot taken in Times Square, New York on the Victory Day of World War II against Japan in 1945: sailors embracing unfamiliar nurses in ecstasy and kissing, capturing the moment of national celebration at the end of the war. The blue sea and giant aircraft carrier serve as natural backgrounds and are symbols of the city of San Diego. Tourists must check in and take photos together. The rugged warships and gentle sculptures complement each other, interpreting the dual atmosphere of the end of war and the preciousness of peace.
