Rio Celeste Hike, Sloths & Llanos de Cortés Falls from Guanacaste

Discover the bright blue water of Rio Celeste, one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica. We hike through the rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park to the Rio Celeste waterfall. The river is blue because of natural minerals from the volcano. On the trail, you will hear the sounds of the forest and see many plants and animals. Next, we visit a wildlife sanctuary in Bijagua. Here you can see sloths, frogs, toucans and other animals in their natural home. Your guide will help you find them and explain how they live. Then we visit Llanos de Cortés, a large waterfall where you can swim and relax. You will enjoy lunch with typical Costa Rican food. Your guide will also take photos of you during the day. This tour is good for nature lovers, families and people who like photography. The walking level is moderate. On the way back, we stop at a local shop to buy souvenirs. What to bring: a reusable water bottle, comfortable shoes, a rain jacket and swimwear.

   We begin the adventure with a guided walk through the rainforest, immersed in a natural wonder where we will have the opportunity to get to know the heart of the forest until we finally reach the Rio Celeste waterfall with its natural turquoise water, one of the most impressive wonders of our country.

   Spring Paradise Bijagua Tours

   Sloth, the time has come to meet a sloth live in its natural habitat, we can also learn about other animals such as Venetian frogs, red-eyed frogs and toucans, coffee and cocoa trees, a very easy guided hiking expedition in the rainforest, super recommended.

   Cataratas Llanos de Cortes

   The waterfall is located just 25 minutes from Liberia, if you doubt a waterfall that you have to visit is easy to access and has warm waters, highly recommended for swimming due to its crystal clear and shallow waters, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region.
