Rails to Trails, Bike Tour from Cuenca

Nature, culture, adventure and many reasons to explore the Ecuadorian Andes by bycicle. From Cuenca we will travel to Cañar Province, to start a magical bike trip following the rails and tunnels of the old Ecuadorian Train. Surrounded by green andean landscapes next to the Cañar River we arrive at “Coyoctor Archeological Complex” also named “Baño Del Inca”, ancient ceremonial temple of Cañari and Inca cultures. To finish our adventure, we arrive at the train station of “El Tambo”, a town full of Cañari identity.

   Canar Province

   One of the most beautiful provinces of Ecuador, Cañar the archeological capital, located in the Ecuadorian Andes. We will cross the beautiful Cañar river canyon and the rails of the old Ecuadorian train.

   Coyoctor archeological Complex, an ancient ceremonial temple of moon rituals of the Cañari & Inca Cultures. Also called Baño del Inca.

   El Tambo

   20 min

   to finish our adventure we will visit the old train station of El Tambo and this charming town.
