Itinerary

  1. 1

    Windsor Castle

    2 hours

Travel from London to Windsor Castle, one of the world’s oldest and largest occupied castles and a working royal residence with centuries of British royal history. Windsor Castle is partially guided. Your driver-guide will accompany you through security, assist with collecting and setting up the multimedia guide, and provide a brief orientation of the castle precincts. You will then explore the rest of the castle at your own pace, supported by the multimedia guide and the castle’s in-house guides. With the admission ticket you purchase separately, visit the State Apartments, known for royal furnishings, armour, tapestries, and important works of art. When open, you can also visit St George’s Chapel, a notable example of Gothic architecture and the burial place of several British monarchs. St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays. As Windsor Castle remains a working royal residence, opening arrangements and access to individual areas may change for official events.

  2. 2

    Stonehenge

    2 hours

Continue your private day tour from London to Stonehenge, one of Britain’s most important prehistoric monuments. With the admission ticket you purchase separately, visit the stone circle and explore the Stonehenge Visitor Centre, including its exhibition and archaeological displays. Your guide explains what is known about the monument’s history and construction, including the major questions surrounding who built Stonehenge, when it was created, how the stones were moved and raised, and why the site may have been important. The approximately two-hour Stonehenge visit allows time for the visitor centre, interpretation, and the main monument site.
