Itinerary

  1. 1

    Cawdor Castle

    1.5 hours

A beautiful historic castle surrounded by gardens and woodland. The castle has accessible areas, although some parts of the historic building may have steps or restricted access. Guests can enjoy the grounds and exterior views, with accessible routes available in suitable areas.

  2. 2

    Clava Cairns

    30 min

A fascinating prehistoric site dating back around 4,000 years. The main area is relatively accessible, with paths allowing wheelchair users to experience the ancient standing stones and burial cairns. Some ground can be uneven, particularly around the historic remains.

  3. 3

    Culloden Battlefield

    1 hour

A moving and important historic site with excellent accessibility. The visitor centre provides accessible facilities, and much of the battlefield can be viewed from accessible paths. Wheelchairs are welcome, allowing guests to experience the landscape and learn about the 1746 Battle of Culloden.

  4. 4

    Loch Ness

    30 min

Enjoy the spectacular scenery and views across the world-famous Loch Ness. We can stop at suitable viewpoints where wheelchair users can comfortably enjoy the landscape and take photographs. Accessibility varies between viewpoints, but our guides will choose the most suitable locations for each guest.

  5. 5

    Robertson's - The Larder & Highland Cows - Beauly

    30 min

How about a visit to the Hielan Coo's. Here we visit Heather, Katie-Morag and Jamie. A visit to the farm shop for all things Coo related is a must.

  6. 6

    Ardvreck Castle

    30 min

A scenic stop with views of the historic castle built in 1490's and on the bank of Loch Assynt. The castle itself is reached by a short walk over uneven ground, so wheelchair access to the ruins may be limited. Guests can still enjoy excellent views from the accessible areas.

  7. 7

    Knockan Crag National Nature Reserve

    30 min

A beautiful Highland landscape with stunning views and a visitor centre with accessible facilities. The main paths around the crag can be uneven or steep, but there are suitable areas where wheelchair users can enjoy the scenery without needing to access the more challenging trails.

  8. 8

    Stop 8

    1 hour

A spectacular Highland gorge with viewpoints and accessible facilities. Some areas involve uneven or sloping ground, and access to the famous suspension bridge may not be suitable for all wheelchair users. Our guides can assist guests in finding the best accessible viewpoint and enjoying the experience safely.
