Cotopaxi Volcano and Quilotoa Lagoon Full Day Tour

Two spectacular excursions in one day...... This full-day outing allows you to discover two fascinating places in the Ecuadorian Andes, the Cotopaxi volcano, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, and the stunning lagoon of the Quilotoa volcano, which with its turquoise waters gives us a breathtaking view of the Andes.

1. 1

   Cotopaxi National Park

   2 hours

   Early in the morning we head south of the city along the Avenue of Volcanoes called so because, if the weather permits, we can observe hills and volcanoes such as Pasochoa, El Corazon, the Ilinizas among others until we reach the Cotopaxi National Park, where we will visit the Interpretation Center, here our guide will explain and answer all your questions about the highest active volcano in the World, after knowing more about the history and curious facts about the Cotopaxi, we continue to visit the Laguna de Limpiopungo and make an interesting hike to observe birds and plants that have adapted to these cold climates

   Tigua

   Visit to the indigenous community of Tigua, famous for its indigenous Andean-themed crafts

   Zumbahua

   30 min

   Here we will make a small stop at the viewpoint of the river toachi

   Laguna Quilotoa

   2 hours

   Upon arrival at the site we will make a short walk to the viewpoint of Quilotoa, from this point we will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Laguna del Quilotoa one of the most beautiful lagoons of volcanic origin in the world and if the weather allows us we will be able to appreciate several of the mountains and volcanoes that are around.
