Built between the 8th and 10th centuries, this mighty temple complex celebrates both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs, and the scale is so impressive. It was dedicated to the Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu), and the Destroyer (Shiva). The largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and one of the largest ones in Southeast Asia.
