Overview

This tour begins at the Land of Legends. The crossroads between the Iron Age and the Viking era. Visit the "Land of Legends" with our guide, telling the story of the origin of the Vikings, their society, and beliefs, and end the tour in front of the incredible Viking Kings Hall. Hereafter, there is time to explore the site and the Kings Hall on your own. Next stop is the Viking Ship Museum. A guided tour through the vibrant atmosphere at the Viking Ship Museum, with shipbuilding techniques and other crafts from the era, focusing on the success of the vikings and what became of the Vikings. After the guided tour, you will have time to visit the museum hall and tour the site on your own. Lunch is available either at the Viking Ship Museum's own café or at the nearby cafés, or local Danish-style bakery, and the local pizzeria is close by. Drive from Copenhagen to the first stop at Land of Legends. This will take you through the city of Copenhagen and ends with a drive through the rural landscape o surrounding the Land of legends. On the tour the driver will elaborate about Denmark.

At this unique outdoor museum, telling Danish history from iron age to the 1800s farming. This tour focus on the Viking era and including the magnificent Viking Hall. You will get a guided a tour focused on the Viking age. Hereafter time to explore the museum and the Viking Kings hall.

Meeting and pickup

Please be prepared to wait outside, or if the weather doesn't permit, wait indoors where you can still see when the bus is coming. The bus is a black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, with the company name "Ophelia Tours" on the door.

If pickup cannot be arranged at your chosen accommodation, we'll suggest convenient alternatives. IMPORTANT PICK-UP INFORMATION Please note; that the pick-up time displayed (as 0915 CET) is ONLY for the final pickup at Central Pickup Point. Pickup details will be sent 10-16 hours before the tour's scheduled start.
